Are The Celto-Saxon People The True Israelites? ( Part II )

Posted on 10/23/2012

Are the Celto-Saxon people the true Israelites?  In our second post of this series, we will examine a second set of “proof texts” employed by many who claim that the Celto-Saxon people are the true Israelites.  Again, one of the reasons that we are bringing this forth is to shed some much needed scriptural light upon this teaching.

Also, to set the record straight, we do not have a “problem” with the idea of there being “white” Israelites.  What we do have a problem with is when claims like these which are  made without scriptural support are so readily accepted as “truth”.  There are many truth seekers out there that, although they may not ascribe to the more extreme elements of this teaching, still hold to some of its basic tenants.  In this series, we are examining even the basic tenants of this teaching to see whether or not they line up with the scriptures.

So, here is the second set of aspects by which those who espouse this teaching claim to be the true children if Yisrael:

    1. Israel was to have a new home, other than Canaan Land. (2 Samuel 7:10)
    2. Israel’s new land was to be inhabited by people gathered from many nations. (Ezekiel 38:8)
    3. Israel was to have a land of unwalled villages, without walls, bars or gates. (Ezekiel 38:11)
    4. Israel was to have a land of great agricultural wealth. (Deuteronomy 28:8-11)
    5. Israel’s land was described as being the “camp of the saints.” (Revelations 20:7-9)

(1) Israel was to have a new home, other than Canaan Land?

“And I shall appoint a place for My people Yisrael, and shall plant them, and they shall dwell in a place of their own and no longer be afraid, neither shall the children of wickedness oppressed them again, as at the first.”  ( II  Sam. 7:10 )

The first thing we need to examine is the point at which the children of Yisrael will be delivered from their enemies.  The children of Yisrael are presently in a state of captivity because of disobedience to the Torah of the Most High.  While it is true that they will have a dwelling place other than Canaan land in captivity, the scriptures make clear that these dwelling places are far from being “home”.

“And they shall stumble over one another, as from before a sword, when no one pursues.  And you shall be UNABLE TO STAND BEFORE YOUR ENEMIES.  And you shall perish among the nations, and THE LAND OF YOUR ENEMIES shall eat you up, and those of you who are left rot away in their wickedness IN YOUR ENEMIES’ LANDS, and also in their fathers’ wickednesses rot away with them.  BUT if they confess their wickedness and the wickedness of their fathers, with their trespass in which they have trespassed against Me, and that they also have walked contrary to Me, and that I also have walked contrary to them and have brought them into THE LAND OF THEIR ENEMIES – if their uncircumcised heart is then humbled, and they accept the punishment of their wickedness, THEN I shall remember My Covenant with Ya’acob, and also MY Covenant with Yitshaq, and also remember My Covenant with Abraham, AND REMEMBER THE LAND.”  ( Lev. 26:37-42; also see Deut. 30:1-10 )

So we clearly see here that when the children of Yisrael are in exile from “the land”, they will be in the “lands of their enemies”, and that the “children of wickedness” will oppress them.  We also see that this condition will not change until they collectively repent and turn back to Yahuah.  There is no “in-between” time frame where the children of Yisrael will be given a new land wherein they will dwell in safety

Also, what is “the land” that the Most High said he would remember?:

“So Lot chose for himself all the plain of the Yarden, and Lot moved east.  Thus they separated from each other, Abram dwelling in the land of Kena’an, and Lot dwelling in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent as far as Sedom.  But the men of Sedom were evil and sinned before Yahuah, exceedingly so.  And after Lot had separated from him, Yahuah said to Abram, “Now lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward, and southward and eastward and westward, for ALL THE LAND WHICH YOU SEE I shall give to you and your seed forever.”  (Gen. 13:11-16; also see II Chr. 20:7)

Did Abraham see the United States of America?  Did the Most High give the USA to Abraham and his seed forever?  Of course not.  This land promised to Abraham and his seed forever is referring to the land of Kena’an, which is actually much larger than the geographical borders of the land of Yisrael today.

(2 & 3)  Israel’s “new land”, inhabited by people gathered from many nations, and will be a land of unwalled villages, without walls, bars or gates?

We have already firmly established that there will be no “new land” that Yisrael will be able to call their own.  As far as the land being of “unwalled villages, without walls, bars, or gates”, keep in mind that Gog and Magog will come against Yisrael at the end of the 1000 year Kingdom age when satan is released ( Rev. 20:7-10 ).  This could account for the statement, “after many days you shall be called up…” ( Ezek. 38:8 ).  At that time, the land of Yisrael will not need to be fortified with walls, bars, and gates because they will be dwelling in safety.

Furthermore, we see that it is definitely the land of Yisrael where the final end-time battle will take place at the return of Yahusha Ha’Mashiach.  We know this because His feet will touch down on the Mount of Olives ( Zech. 14:4 ).  It is THERE that Yahusha will come and save his people from destruction, not the United States of America.

(4)  Israel was to have a land of great agricultural wealth?

Sure, but not in their disobedience.  Many of the perpetual covenant curses ( Deut. 28:45, 46 ) are agriculturally related.  I say this because much is said about the “birthright blessings of Yoseph”, which are primarily agricultural ( Gen. 49:22-26; Deut. 33:13-17 ).  My question is, Where were these “birthright” blessings evidence throughout the books of the Kings when Yisrael was continually worshiping the golden calves of Yerobam, and engaging in the worship of Ba’al?  Were they not continually stricken with famine? ( see II Ki. 6:25; 8:1 )

Yahuah never promises to bless Yisrael in their sin and disobedience.  The United States of America and Great Britain have never been Torah abiding nations, but have always been dominated by the Mother of Harlots and her daughters.  The blessings of the Most High are based upon obedience to the Torah, not just a generic “Christian” obedience.

(5)  Israel’s land is described as being the “camp of the saints”?

Not while they are in exile.  In the lands of captivity, the children of Yisrael will be worshiping other gods, wood and stone ( Deut. 4:28; 28:64 ).  When the children of Yisrael are brought back from the nations to the land promised to Abraham, Yitshaq, and Ya’acob, they will need to be “cleansed” from their  “filthiness” and “idols” ( Ezek. 36:25 ), and need to be “saved” from their “uncleanness” ( Ezek. 36:29 ).  There will be no “camp of the saints” for the children of Yisrael until that time.

In conclusion, I will reiterate that not all who believe that the Celto-Saxon people are the true children of Yisrael, or at least are represented among them, believe everything that I put up here in this post.  I will say, however, that everyone that I know of who believes this teaching, or some variation thereof, hangs on the basic tenant of this teaching.  The basic tenant is that Yisrael will be blessed in exile rather than cursed, and that the Most High is somehow obligated to bless the seed of Abraham even in their disobedience in captivity.   There is no scriptural support for this basic tenant.
